Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 15, 2017
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I originally parked along Pickard Road at an obscure trailhead, which is very overgrown, along with the first part of the trail. Boulders mark the entrance, but I completely missed them at first due to the high growth. Not wanting to be swimming in ticks, I drove around to the trailhead on Rt. 132 in Canterbury (SPNHF sign and gate). There is room here for three sensibly parked cars.

Comments
Comments: A short walk through this new to me Forest Society property, which is mostly flat terrain with one small ascent. Trails were dry, but very brushy overall. It was a bit surprising to see for a SPNHF tract, so I'm wondering if this property Is currently without a land steward. It looks like it hasn't been touched in quite some time.
