Comments
Comments: Very nice hike-we went up Sandwich Trail, down Drake's Brook. Unusual mountain in that nearly all the vertical gain is in the first 2/3 of Sandwich Trail. Once you reach the Outlook it is very nice and pretty flat for about a mile before the last push to the summit.
We, unfortunately, missed the spur to Jennings on the way up (looking at the ground I guess and did not see it break off to the right, and the sign is not noticeable going up but is evident coming back down, because of its position). If going up, down Sandwich Trail bring all the water you will need since there is nothing after the first half mile or so. Total 8.1 miles, about 2700 vertical. For us, 5 1/2 hrs. plus time on top.
