| Comments: |
After visiting Mt. Willard we decided to take the trip up to Avalon for a higher viewpoint, and lesser crowds. The rocky incline leading up the the A-Z junction gave us a good workout, and allowed our canine hiker to show us up with her apparent mountain goat genetics.
Overall a beautiful day for views, and only a handful of small families rotating on and off of the summit. Washington as per usual was elusively tucked just into the clouds, the rest of the presidentials all the way to Adams being visible. Views stretched well beyond Chocorua. |
