Trails
Trails: Blueberry Ledge Trail, Rollins Trail, Dicey's Mill Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Tuesday, August 1, 2017
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at Ferncroft
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No problem at the one crossing on Dicey's Mill
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I know it's a wilderness area, but there really needs to be some blue blazing on some of the scarier ledges. There is some faded blue, but you really have to look for it (and good luck finding them if descending). All trails were basically clear and dry with no other problems
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I can't imagine taking a dog up the Blueberry Ledge Trail, yet I saw a couple. Seemed to be doing OK
Bugs
Bugs: Lots of bugs since there was absolutely no wind all day.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I saw a hiker put a pair of glasses into the lost and found bin at the kiosk.

Comments
Comments: Been 25 years since I've done these trails. The Blueberry Ledge Trail was a lot easier back then when there were ladders and steps.
