| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Access is a one lane dirt/gravel road. It is in decent shape. there is room for a about 10 cars in the parking lot. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Lots of water crossings, brought waders, other people brought water shoes but we never needed them. We were able to rock hop all crossings even with all the rain we had on Saturday. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
From North trail head to McCrillis, no problems. Some step overs on the way to the pond. Some areas close to the river were rerouted. At the first water crossing across Whiteface River ~ 1.5 miles from the TH, there was no sign but in the middle of the river is a old brick pier on a large stone which must have been the bridge. Go up stream about 25' for a better crossing. Once we got over to the other side we saw an arrow and sign pointing to the old bridge location. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one today, lots of water and mud for them. |
| Bugs: |
None, a good breeze kept them at bay. |

| Comments: |
Great trail and hike to Flat Mountain Pond. All of the elevation is in the first half to the pond and shelter. The other half is pretty much an old RR grade. |
