Comments
Comments: Signal Ridge Trail was generally in good shape, though there were patches of ice to watch out for (especially in the dark). Carrigain Notch Trail was also in decent shape, with a dusting in snow up higher. Started up to Lowell just a bit past height of land - not great, not terrible, avoided the cliffs. Great views from just before the recognized summit. From there, headed to Anderson, attempting to stay a little bit west of the ridge. Thick, plenty of blowdown, very slow going. Found some great view ledges just before the Anderson summit. From there, dropped down toward drainage between Lowell and Anderson - very steep, moderate woods in places, some blowdown, slow going, eventually made it back to Carrigain Notch. Took a few hours longer than expected to do this bushwhack.
