Comments
Comments: This ended up a nasty little whack. We entered the woods a little ways up the Mahoosuc Tr from the junction with Peabody Brook Trail. Set our sights directly to the peak and started out in fairly open woods. Encountered our first fir band withing .1 miles, then through a boggy area and into some scrappy pencil pine. Finally another fir band that seemed to be a young Christmas Tree Farm for the final .2 miles. Sadly it was much more difficult than a half mile should be. On the bright side it was a beautiful sunny day (if you could afford to look up).
