Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: There is parking for maybe 14 cars at the Dublin Trail trailhead lot. At 11:00 on a sunny summer day, there were already a dozen cars there. There is a portable toilet which was unpleasantly full. The dirt road was longer and rougher than we thought, but when we asked an older gentleman out for a walk he confirmed we had to just keep going.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Very little standing water; no streams to be crossed. Very dry!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in great shape: no trees down across the trail or no wash-outs. Much of this trail is wide, though there are some brief narrow spots higher up. There was an occasional small puddle, and some stretches of mud to be skirted, but not enough to be a problem. Even though this is less-traveled than other trails on this mountain, the dirt is packed hard and the rocks are smoothed.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Animals are not allowed, so we only saw two people with dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: Basically NO bugs. Hurray!

Comments
Comments: With four kids aged 9 to 18, we had no problems making it up or down. On a nice, sunny day we got up in 1:37 even with my creaky knees, and got down in 1:10. There were tons of people at the top, but most of them must have come up the White Dot & Cross trails because we saw few people as we hiked.
