Did the loop around to come up Carrigain from the Pemi. Desolation is about as steep and rough as advertised.
WARNING! There are wasps on Signal Ridge Tr near the bottom in the gravel switchback section. I got stung twice on my way down, late afternoon. One person in a party of two ahead of me was also stung (I heard him yelling and then learned why as I got stung and then passed them). |
