Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues. Water is very low everywhere right now.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: End of season cleanup on my adopted upper half of CBT. The trail is in overall good shape, not much to be done. I cleared a few minor blowdowns and that was pretty much it. The switchbacks might need some light brushing this time next year. Above treeline, PT could use either refreshed blazes, or better yet, more cairns to mark the route. It can be confusing if you haven't been up here before, and I encountered several people who were wondering if they were still on the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure.
Bugs
Bugs: LOTS of flying ant things at the summit. Yikes.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: Since there wasn't much work to be done in the trail work dept., that left ample time to linger on the summit. Amazing weather yesterday with clear skies and cool temps. Several people out, but not the madhouse it is on weekends. Trails were mostly dry with the usual wet areas on CBT. Above treeline, all the ledges were bone dry.

There is a raven hanging around the summit who has lost its fear of humans because it is getting fed. Please don't feed wildlife. :(
