 | Comments: |
A gorgeous day on North Percy, up and down the easier Percy Loop Trail to the col. Nice easy and beautiful walking along the logging road stretch before it gets a bit steeper and rougher toward the base of the ledges. The slabs were bone dry and the rock is very coarse, making for excellent grip. Beautiful clear skies and views forever from the summit. For those who are leery with exposure, these ledges can be challenging, but the steepest section is only about 0.1 to 0.2 mi. before the trail gets into the scrub again and then flattens out near the summit. We followed the same route out. We only saw two people all day, both at the summit. Congrats to CW for #50 on her 52WAV! |
