Comments
Comments: Nice bushwhack to these two peaks. Both are on the NH Fire Tower list and the SE peak is also on the NH 300 Highest and 2000 Footer List.

We set off SE following the old fire tower/ logging road up easy grade with really cool under cast towards Umbagog Lake. This road or should I say a much-used moose highway soon leveled and at the height of land we started bushwhacking north in nice woods the short distance to the 2,711 Cambridge Black recognized high point.

After signing in we set off SE, again in nice woods hitting a few ups and downs along the way to the 2,790 Southeast Peak and recognized high point. For the return trip, I took a slightly different bushwhack route back to the logging road to do a little exploring. On the way down the logging road the under-cast was gone and we had truly great views.

Between peaks I had a misstep and felt a “pop” in my lower calf muscle and hobbled for the remainder of the trip. This made the trek a much slower going and canceled our afternoon bushwhack.

All that said it was another great adventure with my beautiful bride.
