Trails: Stony Brook Trail, Carter-Moriah Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Tuesday, September 26, 2017
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Only car at Stony Brook in A.M. and upon departure. Took Pinkham B on way over; somewhat rough but not as bad as anticipated. Took normal Rte 16--Rte 2 on way home(for food, drink) and had a 10 minute delay due to paving on Rte 2 so Pinkham may be better option rest of week if coming from west on Rte 2.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some nice, new signage on Carter-Moriah. Trails in great shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The normal puddles on Carter-Moriah would be harder to get at; tucked under bog bridges if at all. A few long drop offs to watch for on ledges.
Bugs

Comments
Comments: Only a few minor wet spots. Nice hiking this route without having to watch out for mud and water pockets. Quiet day; only 3 hikers seen. The afternoon heat on the ledges felt similar to a parking lot in sun. Nice match of an easier hike with the heat conditions. Great views all day.
