Comments: Posting to update on Scaur conditions.

We hit Scaur after coming over North Tri and descending Pine Brook Bend Trail partway. We started bushwhacking off of Pine Brook at the saddle point before it turns and drops off towards the Kang. At times it seemed like we were following an overgrown path, but we lost it numerous times. Basically we just tried to stay on the ridge line and eventually found the top. There is a mossy cairn and a small white sign reading "Scaur" that marks the top. It is in a thicket of blowdowns. We then retreated to Scaur Ridge Trail to head back to the car.

Other notes: we went up South Tri first and wandered out and back to the sleepers. The junction for Kate Sleeper Trail is not necessarily obvious since it is located at a very wide point on the slide. East Sleeper has a small sign on the top of it and is accessed via a short spur trail. We then went over the pyramids to get to Scaur.

Leaves are starting to turn, but still have a little ways to go.
