Parking/Access Road Notes: plenty of parking at the AMC Cardigan lodge in Alexandria.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: all dry. bone dry/ 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: there were two minor blowdowns on the Holt-Clark cutoff. Also the trail blazes on the Clark trail as well as the Mowglis trail could be reblazed as the blazes on the rock are starting to fade. But overall the trails are in great shape.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I didn't see any dogs, or many people for that matter, but it's a fine hike for a fit pooch.
