| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
PEABODY BROOK TRAIL: The wooden ladder on this trail has rungs missing, and the ladder overall has a lot of rot. This ladder is located a few tenths of a mile above the spur trail to Giant Falls. Also, it should be noted that between the ladder and the junction of the Bald Cap Peak Ledges Trail, there are some segments of trail that need some intense brushing. It's not exaggerating to say that it’s like a bushwhack in many spots! In truth, I’ve done bushwhack hikes that involve less ‘whacking of bushes’ than certain segments of this trail!
BALD CAP PEAK LEDGES TRAIL: As of 23-Oct-2017, this trail was in excellent shape.
During this trail maintenance visit, a new sign was installed at the first set of ledges on the Bald Cap Peak Ledges Trail. The sign reads: “More Views Ahead 0.1 Mileâ€. This was done since some hikers have reported being unaware that bigger and better views could be had by continuing downhill for about a tenth of a mile to a second set of ledges that provide wide-open/unobstructed views. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
The broken rungs on the ladder could possibly present an issue when hiking with a dog. |
