upstream on the first one on York Pond Trail was a challenge and coming out on Bunnell Notch Trail, crossed on a log upstream |

no major blowdowns, blazing on Kilkenny Ridge Trail approaching S Terrace was sparse |

we saw two later in the day; learned later that one of the dogs had been injured, unknown outcome at this time |

We were hoping for a better viewing day than as it turned out, but we did get to see new trails and Terrace Mt. (at least for most of the group); York Pond Trail grade relatively easy; first crossing has the potential for someone to get wet.. put on microspikes on the climb up to S Terrace..we were careful approaching S Terrace through the birch glades as the trail was not easily visible and blazing sparse but we were able to team up and go blaze to blaze..nice ice fog cloud today up there!!cleared a little later, but still not much of view up high... |
