| Water Crossing Notes: |
Both streams were rock hoppable, though a little harder than they used to be. The first crossing especially looks pretty different than before. Lots of gravel washed up |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
As someone posted before, the Avalon trail was not too bad. It had maybe 3-4 blowdowns before the A-Z junction which were all pretty easily maneuvered around. The trail does have quite a bit of erosion and wet spots and washouts but is in relatively good shape. A-Z was also not too bad, it just had 2 big blowdowns maybe halfway between the avalon juntion and the mt tom spur junction. These can be climbed over if you stick to the right of the trail. They are big trees though (1 foot diameter) so will be a pain to clear. Other than that lots of blowdowns throughout the woods but luckily most did not land on this trail. Mt. Tom spur was relatively clear with the exception of several blowdowns right near the summit of the mountain. These can also be walked around relatively easily. Overall this trail needs a little work but it is in a lot better shape than some other trails in the area (Willard, Airline/Valley Way, Caps Ridge) |

Did this as a scouting hike to see if Mt. Tom was clear. Not too bad. See notes above. |
