Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 2 trees worth mentioning. 1- One Bunnel Notch Trail after climbing the stone stair case as you are up on the small ridge where it levels out there is large limb suspended by two trees high over the trail that looks dicey - it's up high enough that it's doubtful anything can be done, but noteworthy. 2- Just after the 1.7 mile sign (to the summit) there is a large widow maker.

Comments
Comments: I fully expected to spend time clearing blow downs after what I saw last Wednesday on Airline (at 3600 feet)
But to my surprise there were only a few limbs, minor debris and one small tree. Most of the 'new' blow downs were next to the trail.

There was more standing water than normal but I didn't see the amount of erosion I thought I would. Everything considered these trails are in very good condition and I was really happy that the rain held out. Good hike with Billy and Al and nice to meet an aspiring gridiot from Conway; also met a young fellow that was excited to have hiked his first 4k - isn't that what it's all about?
