Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The route is best done by spotting a car at the top of Howe Lane (Just before the road makes a sharp right turn). Next, drive to the parking spot (2 or 3 cars) at the top of Horne Street (across the street from nice old red house). The trail begins about 50 feet up the road from parking spot. The trail is well marked with yellow blazes. From the top of Stewarts Peak follow the red blazed trail to the north and down. When you meet the Cross Minks Trail, blazed in blue, turn left and down. When you reach the mowed grass road, turn right and down to where you hopefully left a car. Total distance is about 3.5 miles.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Hiked up the west ridge trail (Harriman-Chandler State Forest)good condition and mostly well maintained. Removed some small branches and trimmed brush. Went down the north ridge trail and turned left on the cross minks trail (Chandler Reservation, Warner, NH). Cleared much small stuff and picked up fallen branches. There were many large blow downs. We returned on Sunday and removed all the big stuff with a chain saw. Both trails now clear and well marked.

Comments
Comments: This is a nice hike in the woods but there are no views. Stewarts peak is on the list of hills with a lot of prominence.
