Water Crossing Notes: small brook crossing a non issue today.

Trail Maintenance Notes: trails in good condition other than leaf clogged drainages on whiteface mountain trail.

Dog-Related Notes: a couple dogs that live at the house just before the trailhead are often outside. nothing but bark towards people, but don't know how they react to other dogs.

Comments: lots of oak leaves down on the trails making them slippery and potentially disguising obstacles in places. ledges mostly dry except for a few wet spots and some avoidable areas of black ice, mostly higher up. pretty cold and windy today, but nice views.
