Trail was in GREAT shape. Evidently saw its fair share of blowdowns from the October storm, all cleaned up. About a half inch of snow present through almost the entire trip, accumulating to 1" at the summit. Views were limited with clouds and snow flurries that weren't seen on the radar. View points seem like they're being taken over by saplings, but still offer peeks at the surrounding ranges; definitely looking forward to a winter trip once the snow accumulations build up.
Used microspikes for most of the descent, could have donned them closer to the summit but the use of poles was okay.
Didn't see a single person the entire trip, but a lot of rabbit activity. |
