The two water crossings on the bottom of Avalon were not an issue at all. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are virtually free of blowdowns from the October storm. I think there were maybe 3 total all day that I recall. 2 step-overs and 1 duck-under. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Had two with our group, and they had a blast running around in the snow. Saw about half a dozen more throughout the day. |

| Comments: |
Picture-perfect day to be out. Lower part of Avalon is a combination of mud, slush, ice, and trace snow. A-Z was mostly packed powder, but rocks are still visible. Mt. Tom Spur and Willey Range are packed powder, and rocks are almost completely covered. Upper part of Avalon mostly packed powder with good coverage. Made great time coming down Avalon as the packed snow made for good traction with the spikes.
Nothing more than Microspikes needed right now. Snowshoes are overkill until the rocks get coverage. |
