A few minor water crossings -- nothing the White Mountain Guide doesn't mention. |

One or two small blowdowns that were bigger than my saw could handle. I did a bit of other maintenance to remove some inconvenient/sharp branches from a couple of blowdowns. Overall the trail was very easy to hike. |

Great day for a hike! The snow flurries started as we drove up 93, and grew more steady as we drove on Rt. 49. The entire day was fairly grey. Ours was the second car in the parking lot, and we only saw one other set of hikers today. We took the Sandwich Mountain Trail up and Drakes Brook down, stopping at Jennings Peak and hitting the summit of Sandwich Dome as well. Trail conditions were as we expected -- wet down below, turning to ice as we ascended, with a thin layer of powdery snow on top. I put on my microspikes around 30 minutes into the hike, and wore these for pretty much the rest of the hike. On top, the sky was pretty grey, and temps dropped into the high 20s. A fairly typical November day. Sandwich Dome is always a fun hike!
