Comments
Comments: A fantastic north to south traverse of Hedgehog Ridge, using the HRT, which opened in 2016. I'd hiked both ends of this route before, but not the whole thing.

Dry trail and good footing the whole way. No ice or snow anywhere. Excellent vistas from Hedgehog's summit, at viewpoints along the ridge, and at the beautiful grassy summit of Wilson Hill. Lots of ups and downs and bumps along the ridge make for a good workout, more than it might seem on paper. The northern half of this traverse is a mix of wooded and open terrain. The southern half passes through or adjacent to areas of logging. The trail itself stays mostly west of the ridgecrest.

A cool day, but not cold. The wind really kicked up at times later in the hike. A great day out!
