| Water Crossing Notes: |
One on the Reed Road Trail that is new due to a culvert washout and one on the Marsh Crossing Trail. Both were easy hops today but could be difficult in high water. The crossing on Marsh Crossing Trail had a small log jam at it offering some handholds. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Cleared a few small blowdowns along the way. All trails are clear f blowdowns with the exception of the Quarry Trail where 2 larger stepovers remain. Quarry Trail is quiet wet between the East Quarry caves and the Col. Could use some bog bridges. |

| Comments: |
Trails were in good shape and mostly ice free. Reed Road Trail down low on the logging road portion suffered from some severe erosion in the October storm adding a new stream crossing. They installed new waterbars to help get the water off the road. Footing is rough there now. Minimal ice along this route allowing us to leave our spikes in our packs. More ice on exposed ledges so be aware if you are traveling on a trail with a lot of ledge. We made it out just as the snow was starting. Nice to be back out in the Belknaps. |
