Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We took the road in Sandwich that leaves Bennett St. and crosses the Pond Brook, a short distance east of the west end of the Flat Mountain Pond tr. It is well plowed, as there are homes. We drove to the plowed end, where there is a big turnout for parking.

Comments
Comments: Trailbreaking was considerable with unpacked powder the entire way; with snowshoes we sunck between 12" and 18". Snowshoes with maximum floatation were the best choice.

We bushwhacked northwest up the drainage, hitting the southwest ridge. We then turned northeast and headed up the ridge to the summit. The woods were mainly open to the improved recognized highpoint. We followed our tracks out. Others following our tracks would be viable in the short term if anyone's interested. Thanks Ozzy and Chuck for a good, wet and snowy bushwhack.
