Comments
Comments: i started up the brook trail which had not been broken out though there was a fairly obvious old trough and base. about 1/4 of the way up i hopped on the ski trails following the eastern most up to where the brook trail crosses them for the last time. this section of the brook trail had been skied out which made an easy ascent to the range trail. the range trail to belknap was unbroken and had some good breaking in drifted areas. just before the summit i ran into a group going the other way towards the saddle so that section should now be tracked out well.

back in the saddle most of the trail up to gunstock was skied out, but the upper part was not. at least a couple have been through that section now. the gunstock mountain trail coming up looked fairly well travelled. from the gunstock summit i followed the western most ski trail down to the middle mountain where i picked up the range trail again. the trail had seen some ski use briefly going down, but the section heading up towards gunstock was untravelled.

i broke out down to the col between gunstock and rowe drifting off the trail briefly along the way. on the climb to rowe a couple other hikers were coming down so the trail has seen decent used now. once up on rowe where the trails from the school come up the range trail had seen decent use to the summit. the access road off rowe was not travelled and made for a very nice powder descent.
