Sunset hike this afternoon. Trail was hard packed but as warmer air moved in it became soft. Minor postholes and patchy ice under the snowpack. Trail conditions will change considerably over the next few days with warmer temps, rain, and freezing rain in the forecast. Spikes are certainly recommended.
