Lower trail isn't very well blazed. Might be tough after fresh snow. No problems this day. |

10-15 degrees, light breeze. Sunny. Previous day's melt did away with most of the accumulated snow. Melt then re-froze all over, especially in lovely ice cascades down the trail. Residual snow is packed & crunchy too. Definitely warranted traction. Microspikes were the thing. Upper mountain a mix of bare rock and ice in the nooks. Great hike! |
