Comments
Comments: Len and I left MA at 4:30 am we got a somewhat late 8:30 start. Began the hike on microspikes all the way to Glen Boulder where we switched to crampons for the icy decent into treeline. We should have put them on a few hundred yards above Glen Boulder. Boott Spur was loaded with post holes most of the way. Someone had a tough go of it the day before. The below zero temps froze things up nicely and post holing wasn't an issue until we hit the spruce section of Glen Boulder Tr. between Davis Path and Glen Boulder. It was an amazing blue sky day with little to no wind and we may have gone for Monroe if we had started sooner. There was an incredible lack of snow on the higher peaks due to the melt the days prior. days like this are a blessing. Thanks to the group we met up with around Split Rock for taking our picture. Hope you were able to summit Washington.
