Comments
Comments: D and I begged off Moriah because of the winds and gloom in the morning and opted for a little red lining. The rain/ice storm seems to have done less damage than the last one. There is an inch or 2 of "styrofoam snow" on top of the crust which makes for some good traction. As a first timer I loved the views from both peaks. I would say until we have a good snowfall the Doublehead ski trail is not skiable. After we got down and had lunch we went over and hiked the Eagle Mountain trail with snowshoes. Great views and a little challenge below the summit on the steeps with snowshoes on.
