Comments
Comments: Baker Road to South Peak of Cube was easy going with sharp micro spikes. Ice is forming nicely on two switchback above hardwoods. AT toward North Peak had been packed out prior to rain but I didn't go over as Mooselaukie still had her head in the clouds. Kodak Trail (AT South) hadn't been traveled all winter so conditions were a mixed bag. Waist deep post holes where water had undercut snowdrifts are mine. Put snow shoes on about 1/2 mile above Hex-A-Cube shelter trail and wore them until Jacobs Brook Road which had snow machine travel before rain. Tuned right at junction of Jacobs Brook Road and Quinntown Road and followed woods road (Old AT North) back to parking lot on Baker Road. Nice afternoon of crust cruising.
