Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking but very icy. Ferncroft Rd is well sanded but still fairly icy.

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Ice - Breakable Crust, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Snow/Ice - Postholes, Slush

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Took our time with the one crossing and made it over fine. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blow downs, one early on and a couple after the junction with the Rollins Tr. Not to terrible to navigate through. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw quite a few! Some had to turn around real close to the top due to steep ice.

Comments
Comments: Great to start off. Spikes on as soon as we got out of the car. Very minor post-holing on the the way up. After the water crossing, the trail was solid all the way up. There are a couple of real icy spots as you get close to the top. Warm temps made the trail a bit choppy on the way down. Snowshoes will probably be the way to go if the temps continue to hover around freezing.
