| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at the General Store lot. As I was leaving, the trail head parking opposite Mt. Starr King Rd was plowed. i noticed that there was a tip jar for plowing the "snowmobile parking lot," which is the trailhead parking lot. Folks should consider leaving a tip to support plowing the large lot that is closer to the trailhead with less road walk. |

| Comments: |
I used snowshoes start to finish. I tried to start in microspikes but quickly realized that this was not a great idea. There were 2 others ahead of me so thank you, Doug Hunt and Karen Peabody for breaking trail up to Starr King. I broke trail from Starr King to Waumbek. There was about 3-6" of dry powder at lower elevations; along the ridge there was about 6" of light snow with drifts up to 12." It was a fabulous but cold and windy day for a hike. |
