| Comments: |
Great hiking day with ideal temperatures and bluebird skies. Well traveled to Flume summit. Beyond the ledge is drifted over. Appears that Osseo to LW has been broken out. There was no sign of travel down Flume Slide. Switched to snowshoes and broke through about a foot of powder coated with breakable crust. Sketchy signs of previous use on the slide appeared better than halfway down. A minimal amount of ice flow exposure. Kicked in steps in a few hard pack areas. Numerous snowshoe paths exist at base of slide-the most traveled leads to junction with Liberty Spring trail. |
