Comments
Comments: The report posted this morning was spot on regarding the ice. Just about this whole loop is an icy sidewalk. The ice was soft today which provided good grip, but will harden overnight. Not only was there ice, but running water both above and below it. The ledge bypass on MMT wasn't much better than the actual trail. I bushwhacked around to the left of it.

I was fine in Hillsounds today, but full crampons would not be out of the question. For anyone nervous on ice, I would maybe wait for some snow, but it doesn't look like too much is in the immediate future.

The summit ledges were mostly bare with patches of ice, with mud in the sandy soil areas. The ridge was the same. Once back into the woods, the ice returned and BT was solid ice all the way back to the parking area.
