Comments
Comments: Trail was very packed from 19 mile bk trail to zeta pass, only needing microspikes- could probably be done bare booted. From Zeta Pass to Mt.Hight, there's a lot of loose snow- snowshoes are highly recommended. The Carter Dome trail bypassing Mt. Hight (went that way on the return trip) seems to rarely get any traffic, it was posthole hell for that mile or so. It was also very warm, so the melting snow probably had a lot to contribute. Overall not a terribly difficult hike, one or two patches of solid ice covering the trail which makes it interesting to navigate through.
