Comments
Comments: i walked north through the log haven parking lot to pick up the snowmobile trail that runs west and connects to corridor 110 and west branch clear stream road. soft wet snow on the snowmobile trails. i followed corridor 110 east on a steady climb up to about 2150 on the north ridge of east kelsey. i then hopped off the trail and bushwhacked south initially staying on the west side of the ridge in open woods then climbing up on the ridge in a large cut. i walked up through the cut which had some nice views, despite low cloud level, to its end. the final climb was in mostly open mixed woods to the recognized highpoint on a prominent bump. off trail the snow was generally supportive with some soft spots and occasional deep post holes. from the summit i followed my tracks back to the snowmobile trail and out.
