Comments
Comments: The trails had very mixed conditions. It was solid through the spruce trees on the way up then the sun was making the snow soft and some areas wet and muddy. Rocks and roots were showing in some parts of the trail. Some running water on the Carter Dome trail. The monorail was pretty solid except for some soft snow on top. Going up Mt Hight was more challenging because of ice was under about 1" of snow which was soft. It was hard to get traction. There was still snow on top of Mt Hight with exposed rocks. The trail over to Carter dome had more snow with some post holing. Lots of snow on Carter Dome. Heading down the Carter Dome trail the monorail was very narrow. It felt like spring today and we had great views 360. With Alohabuffy.
