We followed Millsfield Pond snomo trail for 1+ mile to its jct with the Deer Mt. snomo trail. Followed this for 1+ mile to the point where the trail heads downhill - started bushwhack here.
Bearing took us through whippy young woods, and nice grades, to the wide open summit area and its obvious high point.
Reasonable breaking effort, sinking up to 12" with high flotation snowshoes. Clear, cold, dry day with great views to the Mahoosucs and points north.
