Comments
Comments: This hike was last week, but the conditions at the time were mostly solid snow pack and ice monorail with some patches of bare ground lower down. I wore spikes round-trip. No views from the wooded summit (the register doesn't seem to be on the highest point either), but nice views from outlook ledges before the summit and near Miser's Cave. Thanks to previous reports for the info on finding the cave. I couldn't actually get a view of the entrance due to the sketchy cliffside slope, but was standing right over it. The viewpoint just beyond here is probably the best spot on the mountain. I'd been to this outlook on my first visit here, so it turns out I strolled right by the cave and didn't realize it! It looks like you can also approach the cave from below via a bushwhack.
