 | Comments: |
Much of Barlow trail is a steep sheet of ice, it would have been dangerous to do without microspikes. Winslow you could get away without microspikes but there is still some ice, so they were helpful. Summit was bald rock, and very cold and windy. Handwarmers were handy, gloves essential. It took me a little longer (I accidentally ended up on the power line trail, and stopped a bunch of times to snap pictures and to have lunch), but it's probably safe to plan for 2 1/2 hours from the car and back. |
