I lost my z-fold seat, must have fallen out of the side pocket on my pack - or been blown out by the wind up on the ridge! |

Spring conditions, which varied based on elevation. There was ~ 8†of fresh snow on the trails. I started out in microspikes, but the softer snow kept balling up underneath them, so I switched to snowshoes and had a much easier time. At the higher elevations, the snow was less mushy, but it wasn’t totally packed down yet.
There were snowdrifts on the ridge, so snowshoes are your best option, but you could probably get away with spikes if you really wanted.
Views were just stunning! Wow - there’s nothing like it. 😠Pics will be posted on the Hike the 4000 Fotters of NH! FB page. |
