Surprisingly, there were some today (flies buzzing around in the lower, muddy part of the trail). |

| Comments: |
Lower part is a mix of dry trail and mud and water on the trail. At about 2900' we switched to Stabilicers because from that point on the trail was covered with ice and, even higher up, snow on ice. Evidence of lots of postholeing. I carried our snow shoes up and back but didn't need them. |
