Comments
Comments: Took the long way up to Whiteface due to being outnumbered by dogs. Really good going most of the way. Some minor patchy snow on Rollins, mostly easily bypassed. Some heavily postholed lingering monorail near the summit but I only punched through (thigh-deep) once myself. Bare boots sufficient. Lots of moose scat on Rollins and several fellow hikers spotted at least one critter; we didn’t see it, but the dogs told us it was there. We skipped Passaconaway and just beat the rain: perfect!
