Trails
Trails: Livermore Road, Mt. Tripyramid Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, May 27, 2018
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Livermore South trailhead off Tripoli road was spacious. Had restrooms. And there were only 4 or 5 cars there when we started out hike at 8:30am. Lot was full when we finished at 3:30pm.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Several insignificant water crossings easily conquered.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Livermore Rd no issues other than long and boring (especially on way out). Tripyramid loop was well maintained until the section between Middle and South and from bottom of South Slide back to Livermore Rd. Several blow downs that required work arounds. Two or three areas with boards to walk on had broken boards. Otherwise majority of the hike had very good trails.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One lovely black lab off leash.
Bugs
Bugs: Very minimal on Livermore Rd section. None otherwise. It was a chilly Sunday so the temps probably helped there.

Comments
Comments: Great hike. Overcast and chilly all day but no rain. North Slide was fun as long as you keep looking forward. Stopping and looking back down could be a bit intimidating. Definitely not the place you would want to have a dizzy spell. The hiking between North and South Tripyramids was easy. Lots of moose poop after Middle Tripyramid (going clockwise). The South Slide wasn't too bad. Definitely had to watch footing for loose rocks/granules with each step. Easy to "slide" a bit and wind up on your rear. Not as challenging or as intimidating as North. No precipitation all day helped. Several beautiful water vistas from bottom of South Slide back to Livermore Rd. Repeat section of Livermore Rd back to parking seemed to double in distance. A tedious mini Lincoln Woods type hike.
