Free parking. The lot is a little hard to see because it is elevated above the road a bit, accessible by a driveway. |

These trails are very well maintained (thanks much to 1HappyHiker and state agencies), and they received a lot of attention after last year's Halloween storm. At this point, there are a good number of new chainsaw-ready blowdowns, all of which are passable for easy hiking. Some are leaning across the trail and caught up on other trees.The waterbars are functioning well; the trail was completely dry. |

The cool weather and wind kept them away until late afternoon, when the gnats became pesky. |

Cherry Mountain Trail was a bit boring, but still nice. Martha's Mile was fun. Views from both peaks were great. |
