Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The only blowdowns to speak of are on the South Percy herd path. I removed one minor blowdown on the Percy Loop, which looks to have had maintenance recently. PPT could probably use some minor brushing in spots.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Depends on the dog. The steep slabs on North Percy might be challenging for them. We saw two who were doing fine.
Bugs
Bugs: Not too bad overall. Some in the woods, but winds kept them mostly at bay.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: Meetup group of 6. Mostly dry trail all around, with just some very minor wet and muddy areas. The steep North Percy slabs are dry and very grippy. Stellar views from there today.

The original plan was just North Percy, but we decided to also make the short but steep scramble up to South Percy, with its in your face view of the north peak. A new register was placed in 2016 with a lot of familiar names.

For descent, we took the loop trail down past the Trio Trail junction and then the logging road section for an easy walk out, finishing up with a mile walk along the road. A great day out, the Percys never disappoint!
