Worst in the parking lot. Use bug spray and you’ll be ok on the trails and at the summits. We had bug nets but didn’t need them. |

We did the 8.4 mile loop hike of Jennings and Sandwich. Up Sandwich Mountain Trail and down Drakes Brook. The trail is easy to follow and junctions are signed (just keep your eyes open bc sometimes the signs are obscured by trees, depending on the direction from which you are coming). Drakes Brook is a nice, mellow descent and has the bonus of an awesome river spot where you can walk out into the river, lounge on huge flat rocks, and stick your feet in, just .2 miles from the parking lot. It was heaven! |
